The latest brand to give away music as part of a promotion is MasterCard. It's launching a campaign called `Roots of Rock', which offers its customers free downloads from the entire Universal Music Group catalogue. The promotion only covers 100,000 downloads though – once they're used up, MasterCard will be selling the songs for 80 cents a track. The site will also offer free live sets from the likes of Counting Crowes, Jewel, Billy Idol and Ringo Starr.
