Another day, another deal for online music talent contest site OurStage. This one's a biggie though: it's negotiated a deal with Live Nation to offer opening slots at 300 gigs across the US at Live Nation's venues. It won't be fan-voted directly – instead, the venues and/or promoters will post the opportunity on OurStage, and invite bands to apply, and then filter them out using genre, user ratings and locality. The deal appears to be in its preliminary stages, but OurStage founder Ben Campbell claims the first 12 gigs will be posted this month.
