MySpace is shedding some staff, but the company denies it''s actual layoffs, but is instead performance driven. TechCrunch had reported as much as 5% of the company's staff were being let go, but in an update to its story, quotes MySpace COO Amit Kapur as saying the figure is less than 5%, and it''s part of standard yearly reviews. “All of the employees we are letting go will be replaced,” he says. “We are also rewarding top performers.”
