There've been plenty of rumours about potential acquirers of social network Facebook in recent months, but the latest is the most curveball yet. Blogs are running wild with the rumour that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (otherwise known as the Mormons) is interested in buying Facebook. Why? Who knows – the Church famously has a big interest in family history research, but that''s hardly Facebook''s forte. However, few doubt it wouldn''t have the money for any such deal – the Church reportedly has around $30 billion in assets.
