RealNetworks has announced that it's taking a minority stake in LoEn, the digital music division of Korean telco SK Telecom. The two companies will now work together on new musi services beyond the ones Real already runs for the carrier through its WiderThan subsidiary. What new stuff will they be working on? The companies say they'll “work together to define those initiatives” in the months ahead. Real also revealed that it's seen its downloads per active user increase by 28% in Europe during the fourth quarter of 2008 (that's year-on-year growth), thanks to its music services being deployed with 11 operators in 10 countries in the region.Source: Press Releases
