Apple has launched v8.1 of iTunes, and while it doesn't have any startling updates, there are some interesting new features. iTunes DJ is the replacement for Party Shuffle, and is seemingly designed for Web 2.0 parties where everyone has an iPhone or iPod touch.Why? Well, if you're playing music at a party from your iTunes library, iTunes DJ lets your guests access your library from their devices, and vote for the tracks they want to hear – with the ones getting most votes getting played. Nice!Meanwhile, everything is a bit faster in iTunes 8.1, CDs can be imported in the 256kbps AAC iTunes Plus format, and the Genius recommendation technology has been expanded to TV and movies as well as music.
