Remember when Amazon offered UK users of its MP3 Store free £3 vouchers to spend on the site on Christmas Day and Boxing Day? Well, it turns out there was a slight problem – the codes could be used more than once. Or, as the Advertising Standards Authority says in a report: “A system glitch permitted some customers to use the code repeatedly on the same account, giving them unlimited free downloads. They said they took action but, by the time they had done, many customers had redeemed the discount code repeatedly, some more than 100 times…” D’oh!
