With the UK Joint Online Licence (JOL) expiring at the end of June, what comes next? PRS for Music has announced what it’s calling the first stage of its proposed new Online Music Licence (OML?), which covers rates charged for download and subscription services, but NOT streaming services – they’ll be “released shortly following further consultation”.
