Unlicensed activity might account for two thirds of all video on demand behaviour by 2015, according to the “Video on demand: Behaviour challenges and future directions”, report from the Coda research consultancy. The report’s author Steve Smith says that: “As things stand right now, illegal video behaviour will grow to around 65% of all VOD activities by 2015. But if we get aggregated VOD services launched via TV and online by the beginning of 2010, we are looking at a vastly reduced rate of growth which will lead to illegal video behaviour forming around 30% of all VOD activities by 2015.”
