Fresh from news that it had secured better licensing terms from two of the major labels, Imeem is causing controversy again. This time it’s a post on PaidContent claiming that the music site may run out of funding by the end of this year, based on an analysis of the advertising (or lack of it) on the site. However, Imeem has responded sharply, claiming that “today, we have over 30 campaigns live on the site, many over the six-figure range and all with custom elements… It’s impossible to understand the scope of the work we’re doing with advertisers based on looking at a single day’s worth of ads.”
