Warner Bros has created what it describes as a “visual album” for UK artist One eskimO. It’s a very interesting project, too. It includes a ten-episode cartoon series which will be distributed via iTunes, with each episode featuring a single track from the album. There’s also a tie-in alternate reality game which starts this month, before the series and album are released in September. This blend of music, animation and game elements might not be entirely new (Gorillaz, anyone?), but it’s one of the more high-profile examples.
