LA hip-hop newcomers Gedda-Headz are trying to out-Gorillaz the Gorillaz, with an ambitious social music game… thing, also called Gedda-Headz. It’s part virtual world, part massively multiplayer mobile game, and part social network. People buy vinyl collectible figures that give them unique codes to access the games, which will be available for iPhone and regular mobiles. And then the band will release a video where each member appears as an animated character – like those in the game. Heaven knows how much it’s costing, but it’s pretty interesting.
