Earlier tonight, Apple showed off its new iTunes LP album format, adding interactive elements to digital albums sold through its iTunes Store. During the presentation, any compatibility with iPhones or iPod touches wasn't mentioned. Why? There's a good reason: there isn't any. Pricing? Up to labels, according to the staffer – they may want to charge extra, or simply add iTunes LP content to already-more-expensive remasters or special releases as part of the deal.
