Talking of Robbie Williams… This weekend’s Mail On Sunday newspaper in the UK will give away a 12-track greatest hits CD from the singer, including some live performances. But it has an interesting interactive feature – using Complete My Artist software from Music Technology, it will scan a user’s digital music collection to see how much of Robbie’s back catalogue they own, and give them access to online playlists accordingly. People who don’t own his old stuff will get to stream the hits, while fans who own all the albums will get B-sides and rarities.
