Google announced its Q2 financials last night, with revenues of $6.82 billion, up 24% year-on-year, and resulting in net income for the company of $1.84 billion. $4.5 billion of those revenues came from Google-owned sites, while $2.06 billion came from AdSense adverts on partner sites.During its analyst call, Google's CFO Patrick Pichette revealed that the company spent $100 million fighting the copyright infringement lawsuit from Viacom, which was recently decided in Google's favour. “More important in this victory, it's not for us, but for the users and just the Web in general,” said Pichette. There were no new details on Google's planned music service in the call.
