The Black Eyed Peas have cemented their position as one of the biggest-selling digital artists, with the news that their I Gotta Feeling track has passed six million downloads in the US. Nielsen SoundScan announced the milestone on Friday. “That means that they chose to support the group, support the art,” says Will.I.Am. “God knows how many people listened to it online and didn’t buy it, downloaded it for free and didn’t think about it.” The song was also the first track to sell more than one million downloads in the UK – a milestone it passed in June this year – while the band’s Boom Boom Pow is also well on its way to the six million mark in the US, having passed 5.3 million in May this year.
