Nielsen reports that 13% of US smartphone owners now have Android devices, and that Android took a 27% share of new smartphone purchases in the first half of 2010 – ahead of iPhone’s 23%. Nielsen says that 25% of all US mobile users now have smartphones, and expects smartphones to overtake ‘feature phones’ by the end of 2011.
