Shazam has celebrated its tenth anniversary by announcing that it's currently signing up one million new users every week. That means the music identification service may be on course to hit its planned target of 100 million registered users by the end of this year. “Building the momentum so that Shazam is adding one million new users a week is an incredible achievement,” says CEO Andrew Fisher. More (previously announced) big numbers: Shazam has been responsible for more than one billion tagged songs, and earlier this year revealed that 260,000 music downloads are bought every day via its service.
