Online audio service SoundCloud has announced new features based on its partnership with Creative Commons.A new CC-focused page on the SoundCloud site will help users find CC-licensed tracks and samples to use in their music, while SoundCloud members will also get controls to define how they want their tracks to be shared and remixed.SoundCloud says it wants to highlight the increasing use of Creative Commons in the music world, matching its profile on sites such as photo service Flickr.”Providing the talented and varied userbase we have on SoundCloud with more options to share and create their own original works is core to our mission,” says CEO Alexander Ljung. “Partnering with Creative Commons is great for our users and any audio creators in the CC community as we look to build a huge library of sounds, samples and songs to inspire more new creativity.”
