Sir Paul McCartney has signed a deal with HP to digitise his library of images, artwork, paintings, film and videos, and master song recordings. HP will build a ninja content management system for the resulting content, which will be made available through a 'private cloud environment'. However, HP will also be working with McCartney's company to make portions of the digitised library available to fans. “I hope it will allow people who might be interested to access parts of our archives they might otherwise not be able to,” says the star. It's the first deal of this kind for HP, although presumably it's seeking others.
