The Nielsen Company has published research showing that Android accounted for 32% of new smartphones bought in the US between January and August this year. That means it’s overtaken previous top dog BlackBerry, which is in a dead heat with iPhone for second place around the 25% mark. However, when it comes to all smartphones being used – not just new purchases – BlackBerry continues to have the largest market share with 31%, followed by Apple (28%) and Android (19%).Read more: http://tinyurl.com/36wmqwo
