Nokia has published an update on the performance of its Ovi Store mobile apps store, saying that it's now generating three million downloads a day – up from two million in September. Around 75% of these downloads are apps and games, with the others personalisation products (ringtones, wallpapers etc). Nokia says that preloading the Ovi Store on new phones like the N8 and C7 has been a big factor in its growth, as has the launch of more interesting apps. “Ovi Store is on a strong trajectory fueled by new apps and games from a growing number of partners and more than 250,000 new consumers signing up for Ovi every day,” says services boss Tero Ojanpera.
