UK Music boss Feargal Sharkey and MMF chairman Brian Message will be giving evidence today to the UK government's Business, Innovation and Skills Select Committee inquiry into finance and assistance to industry. Sharkey will be calling for the removal of barriers to investment in the music industry. “Our own evidence would suggest that creative entrepreneurs are persistently encountering barriers to growth, particularly when accessing finance,” says Sharkey. “This is especially unfortunate when others, and especially Government and the CBI, are recognising the role played by our industries in manufacturing creative goods and exports.” UK Music, the CBI and representatives from the games, fashion, design, TV and film industries have published their suggestions for terms of reference for the DBIS review, which are available via the link below.Link – UK Music
