Online ticket service Ticketfly has released some stats showing how effective social media is in shifting gig tickets. The company says Ticketfly events were shared 31,000 times on Twitter and Facebook in January, with every Facebook share or tweet generating 3.25 ticket sales (meaning just over 100,000 tickets). Facebook is also Ticketfly’s top referrer, accounting for 9% of the site’s total traffic. Ticketfly also attracted 582,000 visitors in January.Read more: http://tinyurl.com/6z3yy8f
