Subscription-based music service Rhapsody is getting more social, adding profile pages for its subscribers showing their recently-played songs and playlists – with those songs able to be played directly from the profile by other subscribers. The service also ties in more deeply with Facebook, enabling people to share what they’re playing on their Facebook news feed, while getting links to listen to artists that Facebook friends have marked as Liked. Billboard points out that there’s not yet a Twitter-style ‘follow’ model to subscribe to other users’ Rhapsody activity feeds. Meanwhile, it has some interesting stats from Rhapsody about how people are using its service. 37% of its traffic came from its downloadable PC client in August, with another 37% from its mobile apps, and 16% from its website version.
