The UK public has clapped and booed more than 100 million times through the Tap to Clap app. We reported a few weeks ago that 17.6 million claps and boos were registered on the Saturday 3rd September show alone, taking the total to 31 million for the first three shows in the series, but that there was a caveat that some X Factor fans were *awfully* keen. App developer Live Talkback has revealed that the app has been downloaded more than 581,000 times since the show premiered five weeks ago. Source: press release
