He’s currently topping the charts with his Christmas album, but now Michael Buble is hoping to take the social gaming world by storm. He’s become the second major artist to cut a promotional deal with Zynga, following Lady Gaga’s visit to FarmVille earlier this year. A virtual Buble will be appearing in the same company’s CityVille game on Facebook next week, hosting a holiday bonfire and offering quests to players collecting items including a Segway, turntable, sushi and hockey stick. There’ll also be an exclusive video for players to watch. “When we thought about the holiday season and music, Michael Buble was a natural fit in terms of popularity and audience. There is a great overlap,” says CityVille general manager Scott Koenigsberg. With more than 49 million monthly active users, CityVille is potentially a powerful promotional tool for Buble.
