The times, they are a changin’ (back to the times in 2009 specifically). Bob Dylan’s back catalogue is back on Spotify, having been removed from the streaming service at the request of his management in August 2009 (Bulletin, 17-Aug-09). There has been no announcement about the re-addition of Dylan’s catalogue to Spotify, or whether it will also be returning to rival streaming services. Dylan was one of the first high-profile holdouts from streaming services. Midem this week was abuzz with rumours about which albums will or won’t be streaming in the weeks ahead. One rumour suggests Coldplay’s ‘Mylo Xyloto’ will finally make its debut on Spotify in the coming days, while another claimed Lana Del Rey’s debut would be withheld. The latter is untrue at the time of writing – she’s on Spotify – but we’ll await further developments on the former rumour. In the meantime, we’re eagerly taking advantage of the chance to frictionlessly blat Bob’s ‘Must Be Santa’ into the news ticker of all our Facebook friends.
