iSuppli has published a report claiming that Amazon shipped 3.9m units of its Kindle Fire tablets in Q4 2011, making it the second most popular tablet globally, with a 14% market share behind Apple’s iPad’s 57% share of the market with 15.4m shipments. Samsung took third place with 2.1m (an 8% share), followed by Barnes & Noble’s Nook (1.9m / 7%) and the tablets of Asus (612k / 2%).
