Rdio is already available in Germany, Spain and Portugal, but the streaming music service looks set for more continential expansion, having signed a pan-European licensing deal with PRS for Music. The latter’s press release specifically mentions “plans to expand to other European territories throughout 2012″, while CEO Robert Ashcroft is even more specific. “Rdio’s service is more good news for the UK’s digital music users and creators alike. Rdio’s entry into the market provides more choice for consumers and is a vote of confidence in the growing licensed digital sector.” We’re awaiting an announcement about a Rdio launch in the UK, so it could be just days (or even hours) away.
