Shazam just got into music streaming! Okay, in a strictly promotional sense. The mobile discovery firm is working with brand Brita on a campaign for its FilterforGood music project, which will see people tagging its TV ads able to stream the new album from US band Train. “The preview streaming of a new album from a top artist marks a first for Shazam,” says Shazam’s EVP of advertising Evan Krauss. “We’re excited about this new partnership because it combines our two core services, music and television, to give Shazam fans an exclusive early listen to the new Train album.” Brita and Train are already working together to make a number of the band’s gigs ‘bottled water-free’.
