Big news for apps creation platform Mobile Roadie, which launched version 4.0 last night. The big news: support for native iPad apps, following a beta test for Madonna earlier in the year. Mobile Roadie also has a cheaper mobile web tier to help artists (and brands, sports teams etc) create HTML5 mobile sites at a much cheaper cost - $9 a month or $99 a year. iPad is pricier, at $499 a month or $4,999 a year. Meanwhile, the company’s smartphone offering has also been shaken up, with its middle Plus tier dropped, and its entry-level Core offering beefed up. That includes dropping initial setup fees - now it’s $99 a month as a flat subscription fee - and combining the iPhone and Android options. The top-end Pro tier remains at $499 a month or $4,999 a year, although modules can be added to apps created using the Core tier for additional fees. David Guetta is launching an iPad app today using the new platform.
