Blur did well on iTunes with their two new tracks this week, but someone else is enjoying Twitter-fuelled success on Apple’s store. Dappy – of N-Dubz fame – is currently at number 18 in the iTunes chart with a track that nobody had heard before 10am yesterday, with no TV or radio airplay.

“Fuck it I’ve put #Tarzan2 STRAIGHT onto iTunes for you guys… Yes its true you can get it right now!! Xx,” he tweeted. Cue the song racing up the iTunes chart, with a video also available on YouTube. Who says teenagers don’t buy music…

The tweet is also interesting for the way it shows iTunes’ integration with Twitter: a ‘View Album’ link that embeds a playable preview in the tweet itself (pictured right).
