Email used to be like gold dust – a direct link and marketing channel to fans. The rise of Facebook and Twitter has seriously dented its power of immediacy and the that fact users can give secondary email addresses is negatively affecting its credibility. Does it still have a place in digital marketing and are there things it can still do that leave push notifications and tweets choking on its dust?
