Vevo’s sales boss David Kohl left the company earlier this year, but now it has a replacement: former Nielsen exec Jonathan Carson. Formerly digital chief executive at Nielsen, Carson will be revenue chief at Vevo according to AdAge, which reports that he’ll oversee the company’s 75-strong sales team, reporting to boss Rio Caraeff. “I’ll be out there on the street. I was super-involved with both the media companies and the advertisers and agency clients when I was at Nielsen. That’s part of what attracted me to this role,” says Carson. He joins Vevo at an interesting time for the company, as it expands globally (including Germany, announced earlier this week) and continues to pursue its TV ambitions. Carson will also oversee the company’s efforts to ensure its mobile growth is reflected in growing advertising revenues.
