July 25, 2016:Music Glue talks D2C music: ‘We are leaving billions on the table’

Direct-to-consumer (D2C) or direct-to-fan (D2F) marketing and retail are nothing new, but the music industry is walking away from several fortunes by failing to give them a strong user experience, according to Music Glue CEO Mark Meharry.

“We are leaving billions on the table due to the worst customer experience through the biggest retail channel that we have – which is direct,” Meharry told Music Ally in an interview this week.

Braggadocio by a company working in this space and trying to steal a march on the competition? Actually, Meharry says that Music Glue also got this very wrong in its early days, and had to rebuild its platform from the ground up as a result.
