January 3, 2017:Spotify-backed survey predicts streaming ads boom

It’s hardly a surprise to see a study co-run by Spotify concluding that there’s lots more money to be generated by ad-supported music-streaming.

Still, the study with advertising firm WPP raises some talking points: including the claim that in the seven markets studied – the UK, US, Sweden, Australia, Canada, France and Germany – ads targeted to people’s current “moods and moments” will generate $220m of new revenue.
