Joining a growing, global marketing team in our first ever events focused role, you will help us create a better music industry as well as bring it into the digital age by taking complete ownership of Kobalt and AWAL’s UK and Europe events schedule supporting emerging artists from all over the world.

Working in the heart of the City overlooking the Thames, you will become an integral part of our creative family working closely with organic social media, content, email, events, public relations, design. To be the superstar we are looking for, you need to have successfully developed and carried out events, working in collaboration with other channel owners to develop marketing campaigns that drive acquisition and enhance member experience.

AWAL recently hosted an incredible variety of industry-leading guests and speakers at SXSW and we are now (for first time ever) partnering with Great Escape with more than 100 AWAL artists performing. We also have Amplify coming up again in November where we last year successfully teamed up with BBC Music to help shape one of the biggest events of the year for independent artists.

Besides being a visionary problem solver, graceful under pressure and a creative thinker, you need to stay in tune with AWAL’s target audience as well as be a natural networker happy to frequently attend industry meet-ups.

What would you do as an Events Marketing Manager at Kobalt?

  • Develop a detailed schedule of owned, sponsored, and partner events
  • Day-to-day coordination with event partners and suppliers
  • Project manage all event planning and execution
  • Actively promote events through creative marketing communications campaigns
  • Collaborate with marketing teammates to maintain a consistent brand voice and message across all events
  • Identify and implement beneficial marketing activities with partner organizations
  • Evaluate event successes and present back to senior internal stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with marketing trends and best practices

You will ideally have

…experience organizing and executing events as well as forecasting/reporting results

…outstanding written and verbal communication with a good eye for detail

…handled event budgets (& being clever about how you spend money)

…ability to juggle multiple projects at one time

…ability to prioritize, self-start, chip in and meet tight deadlines

…worked in high-pressure, fast-paced entrepreneurial environment

…a ”hard & smart” approach to work and a roll up sleeves and get it done mentality

…a love for helping teammates achieve their own goals too

…experience with HubSpot email and marketing automation tools

SPECIFICS 

  • Based at River Building, Cannon Street, London EC4R 3TE
  • Hours are 37.5 hours per week. Generally, these are taken between 9.30-6 with 1 hour for lunch but amendments to these hours can be agreed on a case by case basis with line manager approval
