Bandsintown adds Events Landing Page for gig promotion

Concert-discovery service Bandsintown’s latest feature is an ‘Events Landing Page’, which it hopes will help artists do a better job of promoting their concerts across a range of social platforms – Instagram stories included.

“Convert Instagram Story Links into ticket sales with Bandsintown’s new Events Landing Page, your own unique and auto-generated short URL pointing to your upcoming events,” it explained in a blog post. “Share it on Instagram swipe-up, Facebook and Twitter posts, and anywhere you want to promote pre-sales, on-sales, and VIP tickets.”

It’s a smart and potentially-useful feature, and ties neatly in to the Bandsintown concerts database: meaning that whenever a fan is directed to the page, it’ll show the artist’s upcoming gigs.

Bandsintown will also offer analytics on the landing pages, so that artists and managers can understand what kind of ‘ticket clicks’ and RSVPs they’re getting from them, as well as the social posts promoting the pages.
