Imeem hailed as top US music streaming site
Imeem has overtaken Yahoo Music to become the top streaming music site in the US, according to figures published by Compete. Imeem attracted 10.27 million unique visitors in March up 58% year-on-year compared to Yahoo’s 9.66 million (down 14% in the same period).
Following in their wake were AOL Music (4.63 million), MySpace (4.51 million) and Project Playlist (4.19 million). However, the fastest growth was shown by Hype Machine (148%), Pandora (126%) and iLike (149%) down in seventh, eighth and ninth place respectively.
