Labels lobbying for Comes With Music style iPhone

However, the labels are using the negotiations to exert pressure of their own on Apple to introduce variable pricing for music. Meanwhile, the NYT suggests that Universal Music Group is also lobbying Apple to launch a Comes With Music style subscription plan for the 3G iPhone, giving users the right to download unlimited music for no extra cost for a year or more
