Meebo launches adverts for artist chatrooms
Meebo is an innovative chat and instant messaging service that can be embedded onto websites and social network profiles. It’s already powering chatrooms for the likes of Avril Lavigne, The Killers and Weezer, but now it’s announced that advertising will be incorporated into them, with the revenues shared with the artists. Advertisers on board include Sony Electronics, Universal Pictures and, er, Weezer
