Hushie is the latest Seeqpod-powered MP3 search engine
Another day, another MP3 search engine. This one’s called Hushie, and like most of its rivals, it piggybacks on the technology of a site called Seeqpod (meaning that, like its rivals, whenever Seeqpod is offline, Hushie will be f***ed).
It’s certainly minimalist for now, with a bare-bones homescreen and a single search box. That’s presumably deliberate. The site is aiming to make money from ads, charging advertisers £50 a month for 20 keywords, or £100 a month to appear on every page (i.e. the ad appears whatever keyword users search for).
Is it enough though? There are lots of sites like this – we’d hope the focus will soon shift to what additional features they can offer around the basic search function. With no playlists or sharing features, Hushie has a way to go to catch up.
