George Michael to release free digital Christmas single

Last Christmas, he gave you his heart. But the very next Christmas, he gave away… a digital single!

Yes, George Michael has announced plans to release a song called December Song (I Dreamed Of Christmas) for free on his own website on 25 December this year. It’ll also be available through other online stores, presumably for free too.

Not only is it his first Chrimbo single since Last Christmas in 1984, but it also scuppers reports of his imminent retirement. Unless he plans to just release free tracks on the internetweb from now on, of course, which some in the industry might count as effective retirement.

    I think the song is so good and a lovely yultide tune. This man has a velvet vioce
