Enormous list of all the bands on Twitter
The headline says it all – music blog Pop Junkie has published a list of hundreds of bands on Twitter, complete with their URLS and comments about how engaged they are (i.e is it them or their PR?).
UPDATE: the list wasn’t leaked from a PR agency, as we thought. Instead, it’s a crowdsourced Google Doc, as a commenter has pointed out. Either way, it’s well worth a read.

The list was actually started as an open Google Spreadsheet by @gcn1 on Twitter. It’s been making the rounds and people have added themselves – you can find the document here: http://ow.ly/7Mh
The list on Pop Junkie is clearly copy and pasted from the spreadsheet, as it lists the dates that they were added. Unfortunately, they fail to give credit….
Funny how this has come around as “leaked from a PR agency”. Nope, just a crowdsourced Google doc! (No PR agency would be smart enough to compile a list like this)

Thanks Andrew, that info is much appreciated, and I shall amend the story accordingly.

Thanks Andrew for clarifying and setting the record straight. I did post a comment on Pop Junkie but it never got posted.
I started this as a small personal tracking tool… I honestly didn’t think others would have been all that interested but obviously I was wrong!
This list has grown fast (beyond my expectations) and am working on making it easier to add/update artist entries as well as being able to search/sort/filter.
