Paid Android apps launching in UK tomorrow
T-Mobile UK has confirmed that paid applications will be available in Google’s Android Market mobile store from tomorrow (Thursday 12th March), at a developer event in London.
“From tomorrow, UK customers will have paid apps on the phone, and there’ll be a wide selection of paid apps on the market,” said Regan Whitehead, from T-Mobile UK’s internet and entertainment team.
The news should spur an increase in the number of music apps available for Android and T-Mobile’s G1 handset – until now, developers have only been able to offer their apps for free through Android Market.
