New Mos Def t-shirt comes with digital music
Fashion label LnA has announced plans to launch The Mos Def Music Tee, which it says is the first artist t-shirt with embedded digital music. Sadly, this doesn’t mean the shirt plays his new album The Ecstatic while the wearer walks around.
Instead, the shirt has album art on the front and a tracklisting on the back, but each shirt comes with a hang-tag with a URL and unique code, so the purchaser can download the album.
The shirt will sell for $39, and LnA says other artists will soon sign up for their own. The company has already launched a separate mixtape shirt featuring a bunch of up’n'coming artists.
