Music sites launch Michael Jackson tributes
You’ve probably already heard that Michael Jackson has died: it’s going to be all over both mainstream and social media for some time yet. Music sites and stores have been quick to post their tributes to the star, too.
So, We7 has a tribute playlist, while Spotify’s (public) office playlist today is purely Jackson songs. Imeem also has a Jackson playlist plus tribute, while Apple has gone with a regular promo button on the iTunes Store (pictured) taking users through to his albums – complete with a past-tense artist profile.
One site that hasn’t yet been updated, however, is AEG’s own Michael Jackson Live site, promoting his planned 50-date residency at The O2 venue in London. We’ll have more on the implications of the now-cancelled gigs on the blog later today.

we will all miss such a kind hearted talented guy he was everyones idol .when he died a part of everyone died too. he kept everyone alive as soon as he began to sing the power in his voice will live on forever.a sad day for all .

Rest in Peace Michael, you were wronged so much in this life and your persecutors were many, now in death you stand to make some people rich all over again. Some of us will remember you as that Peter Pan character, forever young, forever innocent. The tears keep falling – I accept that you’re gone, but when I think of what they did to you it hurts so much – man’s inhumanity to man. No wonder you didn’t always feel at home in this world – I pray that you’ve find happiness in the next.

Michael Jackson personally inspired me to create my own Neverland Ranch style getaway, only locally in the Hollywood / Los Angeles area.
His creativity, flamboyance and attention to ornate detail will be greatly missed. I even named my place Melodyland Ranch based on his inspiration. He will be greatly missed.
