iTunes social sync: leak or fake?

Three images posted to a Chinese discussion forum, supposedly leaked from an upcoming version of iTunes 9bild-2, puport to show integration between iTunes and a number of social services including Apple’s MobileMe; Facebook; Twitter; Last.fm and Flickr.

But while certain blogs are excited at the notion, CNet has shot the concept down in flames, arguing that Apple’s business partnerships are usually forged with giant brands such as Motorola, HP and Nike rather than competing web brands or social media upstarts.

Music Ally would point out that Apple has, in earlier iterations of iTunes, facilitated sharing of music across the web, but these features have largely been locked down or removed in favour of an approach that focused upon the retail element of the iTunes Music Store.
