Ministry of Sound takes legal action over Trinity Street collapse

Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009

MoS holding company MSHK is taking legal action following the collapse of digital music firm Trinity Street, which ran its online store.

MSHK is claiming money owed to them from ticket sales, digital downloads, CDs and merchandise, as well as damages for the website being abruptly shut down when Trinity collapsed, plus damage to reputation and court costs.

The High Court writ has been issued against Ingenious Media Active Capital (IMAC), Trinity Universal Holdings, Trinity Street Direct, IMAC director Sanjay Wadhwani, and former EMI man Barney Wragg, who became CEO of Trinity Street in December.

All five defendants are accused of misrepresentation and negligent misstatement around Trinity Street’s financial situation in the weeks leading up to its collapse.

Ministry of Sound releases iDrum Anthems app for iPhone

Tuesday, November 25th, 2008

And still the musical iPhone applications keep coming. The latest is iDrum: Ministry of Sound Anthems, which is being released to tie in with the latest compilation album from the dance brand.

The app has been produced by iZotope, and lets you remix a bunch of classic club tracks, with more than 300 samples to play with, tapping the screen to build up layers of bleeps and beats. The idea is that music fans can have fun with it – you don’t have to be a pro knob-twiddler to use it. So to speak.

The app costs £3.49 in the UK App Store (link), meaning it could be a decent revenue stream for Ministry of Sound if it picks up an audience. It’s just the latest example of a high-profile iPhone music app – check our list of 12 other cool apps by clicking here.
